Mr Akingboye completed his higher surgical training in general and colorectal surgery at the Cambridge Deanery, followed by a subspecialist fellowship in colorectal surgery at St Mark’s Hospital. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Queen Mary University of London and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
An academic surgeon and senior clinical lecturer at Aston Medical School, Birmingham, Mr Akingboye is committed to combining surgical expertise with teaching and research. His work focuses on improving outcomes in colorectal cancer, particularly in young patients from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and refining treatment strategies for inflammatory bowel disease.
